Like many other ants, pharaoh ants find their happiness in humid and hot environments where food is abundant (homes, bakeries, grocery stores, etc.) Measuring between 1.5 and 3 millimeters, these pale yellow / brown ants form large colonies made of hundreds of thousands of insects (!!) and feed mainly on sweet and fatty food.
