House flies are insects that need no introduction. Very visible in our homes, this grayish and hairy creature measuring between 5 and 10 millimeters poses no direct danger to humans, but it can be the carrier of diseases and intestinal worms. House flies ingest their food in liquid form, while the larvae of this species feed on advanced decomposing organic matter or even feces.
