Asian ladybugs tend to be viewed in a more favorable light than other pests presented in this section. Measuring between 5 and 10 millimeters in length, this yellow-orange-colored flying insect with black spots does not sting, transmit diseases or infest areas with food. Ladybugs feed on harmful insects and pests like fleas, making them excellent protectors of gardens and other cultivated areas. Ladybugs tend to stay outdoors during the summer, and they only take refuge in our homes or in heated facilities when temperatures start to drop.
